About
Japan Don't Panic is a field guide for one trip: your plan as pins on a toy map of Japan, the way from one stop to the next on Tokyo's trains, and the small print that makes a first visit easier.
What it does
- Plan: add places by name or address, put them on days, drag them around, or let the planner suggest an order.
- Map: a toy diorama of Japan and Tokyo's wards that turns into a real street map when you zoom right in.
- Go: door-to-door directions over every Greater Tokyo line: which entrance, which way to ride, how many stops, which exit. On the day it follows along and can nudge you when it's time to leave.
- Explore: search real places, and see nearby picks other travellers ticked off and liked.
- Guide and phrases: the etiquette, money, trains and onsen basics, and the phrases you'll actually need where you're going.

Good to know
Train times are typical, not live, and timetables can differ from actual service. Opening hours come from OpenStreetMap and may be out of date. Check anything that matters (last trains, bookings, closures) with the operator.
